How to read your results
What is a good speaking pace?
130–160 words per minute is the band most audiences follow without effort. Radio and podcast hosts often run 150–170 for energy. Formal talks, discourses, and stage parts land better at 120–145, where pauses carry weight.
How many filler words are too many?
Under two per minute is invisible. Four or more per minute is the point listeners start hearing the fillers instead of the message. Fix it by replacing the gap with silence rather than sound — see the guide to stopping "um" and "uh".
